I personally can’t dislike anything that carries the name Ben 10. That’s why I say that I love all the series pretty equally.
There are some aspects of certain characters that I don’t like, but in the end I don’t watch the show for them. Regarding my last essay, I think it’s pretty clear who I watch the show for lol

I understand that it may seem like a cute concept, just as cute as imagining your OTP’s future wedding or anything of the sort, and I’ve seen many fangirls do so when they ship their OCs with Ben…but it honestly makes me question if they really do “love him” when that is what they jump to immediately. It makes it worse when they do the same thing with multiple other conventionally attractive fictional male characters…
When you really care about someone, that may be a thing that you think about or consider, but it isn’t something that should be rushed or obsessed over before all else.
There is so much more to loving someone than obsessing over how to make them officially “yours” so that no one else can have them.
Love is about appreciation, not possession.
To answer your question though…both Kat and Ben are white with brown hair so it isn’t that hard to imagine what they would look like. Self explanatory, really.
It’s not typically how I picture his style when I draw him, but hey that’s just me.

I know there are quite a few of us who like to pick and chose what they want a character to be or not be, regardless of whether it is canon or not. But I (even though it may sound silly since he is a ‘fictional character’ and therefore anything said about him can be interpreted as true or false since he cannot vocally disagree) believe it isn’t my place to judge not only him but anyone else who chooses to have a certain perspective on gender identity.
If that is something he wouldn’t “give a fuck about” then go right ahead and don’t give a fuck about it.
And aside from that, who would I be to say that I love him only when he is a certain way? That’s why I never come up with those fun “bencanons” because…I just don’t want to put words in his mouth.
I fell in love with the Ben that was presented to me.
If this were to be another aspect of the way he presents himself, great ♡

There’s a lot to his story, so as long as it’s justified, I think anything is possible for a character like him.

Here’s what I think.
If someone these days believes a certain aspect of a show or how a character in a show such as the Ben 10 Reboot is written is wrong or bad or whatever…I think that they might just be wasting their energy.
You need to keep in mind the Reboot will never be up to the standard of the the original continuity of the series, but that is because it was not intended to be.
The reboot (although I do think it is cute and far better than many of the other recent ‘reboots’) is it’s own thing entirely. I see it as a tribute to the best aspects and characters that the original continuity of the Ben 10 series has introduced throughout the years of continuing the franchise.
It’s not as serious.
It’s not the OS!
And that doesn’t make it completely bad!
But don’t expect it to be something it’s not intended to be.
Putting down one character/ putting another on a pedestal is just their wrongful perception that probably comes out of a place in their mind that has to do with their own personal biases and ideologies.
